Close-up, guest to guest
Matteo moves through the room during drinks or dinner and performs for small groups at a time. No stage, no microphone, no soundcheck — the whole show happens at arm's length.
From $2,500
Boca Raton's event market runs through private clubs, residential communities and small corporate dinners rather than large venues. Matteo Cammisa performs close-up magic and mentalism across the Boca Raton and Palm Beach corridor, in a format that needs no stage and nothing from the room. From $2,500.
The corridor from Boca Raton up through Delray Beach and West Palm Beach has an unusual event profile: a very high concentration of private clubs and residential communities, a season that runs hard from January to April, and comparatively few large public venues. Most of what happens here happens in a room of forty to a hundred and twenty people who partly know each other already.
That is a specific room, and it is one where a set act does badly. The guests are not an audience — they are members and neighbours, seated, mid-conversation, with no expectation of being performed at. Close-up magic works precisely because it does not ask them to become an audience.
Season timing is the other constraint worth naming. January through April compresses almost the entire year's calendar into four months, and club dates in that window fill early. Outside it, the market is genuinely quiet.

From $2,500

A seated, focused piece for the full room, built around thought, choice and influence rather than props. Runs 20 to 30 minutes and works as the pivot between dinner and the rest of the evening.
From $2,500

A full theatrical set for a seated audience, with close-up work projected live to screen where the room is large enough to need it.
On request
Nothing arrives and nothing is set up. In a private club or a home, the absence of equipment, cases and cables is not a convenience — it is the difference between a performer and a production.
Discretion is part of the booking. In a room of members and neighbours, knowing who does not want to be singled out or photographed matters more than the material.
It works seated. Club dinners do not have a cocktail hour to fill; the performance happens at the table, between courses.
Matteo Cammisa is a member of The Magic Circle in London, of FISM — the international federation of magic societies — and of the Society of American Magicians. Twenty years of performing, more than 500 events, over 30 countries.

From $2,500, quoted per event rather than per hour. For a club dinner or a private celebration the figure moves with the length of the evening rather than with guest count — an evening for forty and an evening for a hundred are closer in price than most people expect.
Private clubs are among the most common settings on this stretch of coast. Nothing is loaded in, nothing is set up, no space is taken over and no equipment appears in the room. The performance happens at the table between courses, which suits a club dinner better than any format requiring a stage.
The club calendar on this coast runs hardest from January through April, and dates in that window fill early — for a season date it is worth asking early rather than assuming. Outside the season, evenings are easier to find and equally good.
Bookings start from $2,500. The figure moves with the format, the length of the evening, the number of guests and where in the world the event is. Fees are quoted per event rather than per hour, because what you are booking is presence across a window of the evening, not a block of stage time. Tell Matteo the date, the city and roughly how many guests, and you will have a firm figure within 24 hours.
Almost everything except the word. A party magician performs a set: the same routine, in the same order, whoever is in the room. What Matteo does is closer to hosting — the material is chosen live for the people in front of him, it is built to be photographed, and it is timed around your evening rather than interrupting it. The practical difference shows up in the details: how he dresses, how he works with your planner, whether he needs anything from the venue, and what the room sounds like ten minutes after he leaves.
Send the date, the city and roughly how many guests. You will have availability and a firm figure within 24 hours.
