Corporate Event Entertainment

Entertainment that survives the agenda

Matteo Cammisa · Magician & Mentalist

Corporate event entertainment has to earn its place against a programme that is already overbooked. Matteo Cammisa performs close-up magic and mentalism at conferences, client evenings, launches and incentive trips — formats that need no stage, no sound and, in most cases, no runtime at all. From $2,500.

The four moments this is booked for

The welcome reception. Delegates arrive at different times, know two people each, and stand in a widening circle around the bar. This is the hardest room of the entire event to warm up, and it is usually left to solve itself. Close-up magic solves it faster than anything else, because it gives strangers a reason to stand in the same group.

The client evening. A smaller room, higher stakes, and the specific problem that everyone present knows they are being sold to. Something genuinely surprising resets that dynamic — and it gives the account team something to talk about that is not the account.

The conference break. Fifteen minutes between sessions, delegates on their phones, energy dropping session by session across the day. A performer moving through the coffee break does more for the afternoon attention curve than another coffee.

The dinner. Awards, speeches, an auction. Covered in detail on the gala dinner page, but the logic is the same: perform in the gaps that already exist rather than asking for a slot that does not.

Matteo moves through the room during drinks or dinner and performs for small groups at a time. No stage, no microphone, no soundcheck — the whole show happens at arm's length.

A seated, focused piece for the full room, built around thought, choice and influence rather than props. Runs 20 to 30 minutes and works as the pivot between dinner and the rest of the evening.

Why it is a low-risk line item

Nothing to fail. No stage build, no audio, no lighting cue, no changeover, no rider, no technical rehearsal. In an event where the AV schedule is the critical path, this is a line item that cannot delay anything else.

It does not need the programme's permission. Because the format works in the intervals — arrivals, breaks, service gaps — it can be added late, and it survives the round of cuts that removes anything requiring runtime.

It is measurable in the only way that matters at a corporate event: what delegates are talking about at the next session, and whether they remember which company hosted the evening.

Matteo performs in English, Italian and Hungarian, which on an international delegate list means the room is not split into those who followed it and those who did not.

Matteo Cammisa is a member of The Magic Circle in London, of FISM — the international federation of magic societies — and of the Society of American Magicians. Twenty years of performing, more than 500 events, over 30 countries.

Frequently asked

What is good entertainment for a corporate event?

Entertainment that fits the gaps rather than demanding a slot. Most corporate programmes are already full, so the acts that survive planning are the ones that work during arrivals, breaks and service intervals. Close-up magic and mentalism need no stage, sound or runtime, which is why they tend to remain on the sheet when the schedule tightens.

How does entertainment work at a conference?

Usually across the welcome reception and the breaks rather than in a session. Matteo moves through the room performing for small groups, which warms up an arrivals crowd faster than anything scheduled and lifts the energy curve between sessions. Where the conference has a gala or awards dinner, the same performer covers that evening in a different format.

Is this suitable for a client-facing event?

It is one of the formats most often booked for exactly that, because it changes the dynamic in a room where everyone knows they are being sold to. It is also discreet: there is no branding to negotiate, no volume, and nothing that forces a conversation to stop. The host stays the host.

Can the performance be tailored to the company or the occasion?

Yes, within limits worth being honest about. A product name, a launch date, a milestone figure or a company phrase can be built into the material, and often is. What does not work is turning the performance into a presentation — the moment it reads as a corporate message, the surprise stops being a surprise. The strongest version is a real performance with one or two moments that could only belong to your evening.

How much does it cost to book Matteo Cammisa?

Bookings start from $2,500. The figure moves with the format, the length of the evening, the number of guests and where in the world the event is. Fees are quoted per event rather than per hour, because what you are booking is presence across a window of the evening, not a block of stage time. Tell Matteo the date, the city and roughly how many guests, and you will have a firm figure within 24 hours.

How far in advance should I book?

For a specific date in high season, three to six months is comfortable. Shorter notice is often possible and worth asking about: dates open up, and Matteo holds a small amount of the calendar for late corporate bookings. The honest answer is that the date either exists or it does not, and one message settles it.

Is Matteo available for events worldwide?

Yes — Matteo Cammisa performs worldwide, year-round, and has done so at more than 500 events across over 30 countries. Wherever the event is, send the date, the city and roughly how many guests, and you will have availability and a firm figure within 24 hours. Where travel applies, it is quoted separately and transparently.
