Magic & Mentalism in Cape Town
Matteo Cammisa is an international magician and mentalist — a luxury event entertainer for weddings, estate parties and corporate events in Cape Town and the Winelands: Camps Bay and Clifton villas, Constantia estates, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine farms. Close-up magic and mentalism, performed guest to guest by a Member of The Magic Circle and FISM, in English and Italian.

Cape Town runs two luxury calendars at once: the international destination-wedding season on the wine farms of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek — European and American couples marrying under the mountains between November and April — and the private calendar of Camps Bay, Clifton and Constantia, where villa dinners and estate parties fill the southern summer. Both are open-air, both are venues with no stage and no wish for one.
A wine-farm wedding has the exact anatomy close-up magic was built for: a long golden hour while the couple is photographed against the vines, two families and three languages holding glasses, dinner under oaks that runs late. A performance that happens in the guests' own hands needs nothing from the farm and competes with nothing on it.
Cocktail-hour close-up magic and stage mentalism woven into the wedding timeline.
Keynote-support mentalism and branded entertainment for launches, galas and incentives.
Guest experiences and residencies for five-star properties — with shareable content.
Close-up magic on board — owner's evenings, charters and marina receptions. No stage or setup needed.
The magic-meets-content partnership model for luxury hospitality brands.
Cape Town guest lists are international by construction — the couple flies everyone in, or the host's circle spans three continents. Close-up magic and mentalism land identically across every language and generation at the table, which is precisely what a mixed guest list needs.
Matteo performs worldwide, with The Magic Circle, FISM and 500+ events across 30+ countries behind him. Southern-summer dates — November to April — align with the Cape's wedding and event season and are reserved earliest.

Entertainment the farm does not have to stage. Wine-farm weddings live outdoors — vineyard ceremonies, courtyard cocktail hours, dinner under the trees — and staging or amplification fights all of it. Close-up magic fills the golden hour while the couple is with the photographer, and mentalism carries the tables; both happen in the guests' own hands.
Yes — villa dinners on the Atlantic seaboard, Constantia estate parties, corporate evenings in the city and events across the Cape. Nothing needs to be provided by the venue, so the setting changes nothing about the booking.
Matteo performs worldwide and plans long-haul dates around the international season — the Cape's November-to-April summer is a natural fit. The performance travels in a carry-on: no equipment, no shipping, no local production required. Travel is quoted transparently as part of the booking.
International bookings start from $2,500 for a close-up show. Peak southern-summer Saturdays are the season's premium and are reserved first; every event is quoted individually.
English and Italian — switching per group without breaking the flow, which suits Cape Town's international guest lists.
