Weddings on Provence
Provence sells the golden-hour wedding better than anywhere in France: a bastide among lavender and olives, dinner at one long table as the light goes amber, the Luberon's hill villages stacked behind. The form is rural on the surface and exacting underneath — planners here run the region's weekends with Riviera precision, minus the Riviera's noise.
The bastide evening's rhythm is the format's rhythm: a long outdoor cocktail hour while the couple is photographed in the rows, a dinner that unhurriedly takes three hours, guests who came from three countries to sit at one table. Close-up magic works those windows at arm's reach and adds nothing the courtyard would have to host.
Provence is also the destination where the wedding is most often a reunion — houses taken for a week, long tables every night. The welcome dinner under the plane trees is frequently the booking that shapes the whole week.

Which parts of Provence do you cover?+

How far ahead should a Provence wedding book?+
June and September are peak, July radiant but hot. The known bastides book their Saturdays a year out; six to twelve months is comfortable for entertainment.
