The Setting

Weddings on Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez weddings live in the hills behind the town — vineyard estates at Ramatuelle and Gassin, villas above the peninsula's coves — and descend to Pampelonne's beach clubs for the parties. The register is Riviera-glamorous and deliberately unstuffy: rosé at the ceremony, dinner among the vines, a beach club finale. Entertainment has to match that ease.

A performance that arrives with nothing matches it by construction. The vineyard cocktail hour and the long Provençal dinner are close-up magic's natural windows; the beach club's night needs no help. Nothing is staged at an estate whose whole appeal is that nothing looks staged.

The peninsula's guest lists are Paris–London–Milan with the yachts in harbour adding their own — international by default, and reachable by a format that needs no language and no sightlines, only a group of guests and a glass of something cold.

The Experience

Why couples add magic to the day

Fills the gap the day already has

Cocktail hour is the longest unscripted stretch of a wedding — the couple is with the photographer and two families stand in their own circles. Close-up magic occupies exactly that window and mixes the room as a side effect.

Nothing required from the venue

No stage, no sound, no lighting, no power. A clifftop terrace, a beach club or a villa courtyard is exactly as workable as a ballroom — which at a destination wedding removes a whole category of planning.

Works across languages

The impossible moment happens in the guest's own hands and needs no translation. Matteo performs in English and Italian — at a destination wedding, the difference between everyone being included and half the room watching politely.

Built to be photographed

Reaction shots from close-up magic are often the strongest candid images of the cocktail hour. Matteo works with the photographer rather than in front of them.

Your Day

Where it fits in the running order

  1. 01

    Welcome drinks

The hardest part of a destination wedding is that half your guests have never met. Close-up magic gives strangers something to react to together — the fastest way to turn two guest lists into one room.

  2. 02

    Cocktail hour

The gap while you're away with the photographer is the single best hour for magic. Guests are standing, drinking and unoccupied. Matteo moves group to group so nobody is left waiting.

  3. 03

    Dinner, table to table

Between courses, Matteo visits each table for a few minutes. It keeps the evening moving through the long stretches of a seated dinner, and every table gets a moment that belongs to them.

  4. 04

A moment for the two of you

Optional, and often the piece couples remember most: something staged privately for the bride and groom, away from the room, that the photographer can catch.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know

What wedding entertainment suits a Saint-Tropez vineyard wedding?+

The estate's appeal is that nothing looks staged, and the entertainment should keep it that way: close-up magic through the vineyard cocktail hour and the long dinner, guest to guest, with nothing rigged and nothing amplified. The beach-club night takes care of itself.

Do you perform at Pampelonne beach clubs and on yachts?+

Yes to both. Sand and sea air change nothing for the format, and a yacht — at anchor in the gulf or alongside — is one of the few venues where close-up is effectively the only workable act.

Our wedding runs three days — can you cover more than one evening?+

The welcome dinner is often the stronger booking — it is when Paris, London and Milan first become one party. The format covers multiple evenings without repeating itself.

How far ahead should a Saint-Tropez wedding book?+

June, July and September are peak; the estates book their Saturdays a year out. Six to twelve months is comfortable for entertainment.
